Quality, Testing and Inspection
Quality is built into every stage of manufacturing.
01 · Quality control
Eight stages from incoming material to release.
- 01Incoming Inspection
- 02Material Traceability
- 03Production Control
- 04Welding Inspection
- 05Dimensional Inspection
- 06Load Testing
- 07Final Inspection
- 08Release
Integrated QC supports consistent manufacturing, traceability and project documentation.
02 · Testing and inspection
Verification from fabrication to final release.
Load Testing
- Lifting capacity verification
- Lifting test
- Arrangement verification
Welding Inspection
- Weld quality control
- Welding procedure compliance
Dimensional Inspection
- Manufacturing accuracy
- Final dimensional check
NDT
- Non-destructive testing
- As required by project
Final Inspection
- Product verification
- Documentation review
Certification Support
- Inspection coordination
- Third-party witnessing
03 · Standards explained
What the codes on our units mean.
DNV 2.7-1
DNV's standard for offshore containers, now published as DNV-ST-E271. It sets requirements for design, manufacture, testing, certification, marking and periodic inspection of units lifted and transported at sea.
EN 12079
The European standard for offshore containers and their lifting sets. It has been continued by EN ISO 10855.
ISO 10855
The international standard in three parts: part 1 the container's design, manufacture and marking; part 2 the lifting set; part 3 periodic inspection, examination and testing.
A60
A fire integrity class for divisions such as walls and decks: steel or equivalent construction that holds back smoke and flame for 60 minutes in a standard fire test, insulated so the far side stays within a set temperature rise.
Certification by DNV, ABS, BV, LR or ISO, as the project requires, with inspection coordination and third-party witnessing.
